All new students have certain basic items they will need to have a productive lesson and musical experience.  These items can all be purchased with your student discount at Kelley Music.

Acoustic guitar students will need an appropriate size instrument that is in playable condition and heavy guage picks.  The more difficult the instrument is to play, tune and finger the less the chances of success.  Beginning guitar packages are available.

 

Guitar Students

  • cable (electric guitar)
  • amplifier for home practice (electric guitar)
  • picks

Other items required along the way in order of importance;
  • Manuscript Book
  • Carry bag or case
  • Music Stand
  • Tuner
  • Capo (acoustic guitar)
  • Guitar Stand (the instrument gets played more when it is accessible)
  • New Strings
  • Metronome
    The instructor will suggest items as needed. 



Violin Students


  • Violin, Case, Bow
  • Rosin
  • Manuscript Paper
  • Shoulder Rest
  • Music Stand
